BREATHWORK
Our breathing patterns are closely linked to our emotions. When you feel anxious, angry, or excited, notice how your breath changes compared to when you feel calm.
By consciously altering our breath, we are able to calm the mind for rest, energise ourselves, and balance the nervous system. The simple awareness of our breath can shift emotional states, improve focus, and aid digestion.
Pranayama is the practice of consciously harnessing and guiding the breath to influence our physical, mental, and energetic states—whether calming, energizing, or balancing. It serves as a bridge between the active practices of yoga (asana) and more meditative, inward-focused practices, guiding the mind toward deeper states of awareness and stillness. While pranayama traditionally involves controlled techniques, breath awareness itself can also be a gentle guide toward presence and self-inquiry.
In private sessions, I will assess your current breathing patterns and explore exercises tailored to your needs, with posture support to enhance optimal breathing. Sessions can be standalone or combined with yoga and meditation.
