MEDITATION
Meditation is a time-honoured discipline, backed by modern scientific research that supports calm, focus, and emotional resilience.
Promoting inner calm, relaxation, and overall well-being, meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety, while supporting mood, focus, and cognitive health.
Some techniques involve focusing on a specific sensation, like the breath, a sound, a repeated word or phrase (mantra) or an image. Others, such as mindfulness meditation, develop present-moment awareness with a non-judgmental attitude. Guided meditations are often used to support emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
I offer private one-to-one meditation sessions, and also weave meditation into my classes.
There are many approaches to meditation, and I’ll guide you through different techniques until we find what resonates with you. My sessions are tailored to all levels of experience, especially welcoming for beginners or those returning to their practice.
My approach is secular (non-religious) and individually tailored. Sessions include guidance on how to meditate, discussion of its benefits, and a supportive guided practice. I also offer techniques to help you apply meditation to specific areas of your life.
